Operation Playhouse

Graham seriously is the best daddy in the world!  He deserves this title for multiple reasons but today I'm just going to show one reason why we think so: The Playhouse! 

 

It started like this on a Sunday afternoon!  He had no plan, no blue prints, just an idea and lots of patience!  (the bubble bucket was a little distraction for daddy's helper!  You'll see him below!)

Wells LOVED working on this project too!

This one just makes me smile!

Wells wanted to play in the "playhouse" even when there wasn't one!  Ford, he pretty much didn't care!  Sidenote: Graham made the length of the fort long enough for an adult to lay down inside.  His purpose was so he could campout with the boys (well, just Wells for now) this fall!  He's a fun dad!

Look Mommy, there's a slide!  We were able to save some money by finding a slide on Craig's List!  It required a little TLC with soap and a brush but it was well worth it!

And there you have it...our playhouse!  We are all so proud of it!  Graham did one heck of a job!  I'd say the boys struck gold with this one...and the playhouse is pretty cool too! ;)

 

Another One About Jewelry

A couple of years ago I wrote a post all about earrings!  You can reread it here!  And, what do you know, I'm in the mood for another post about jewelry!  Here are some of my favorites and some things on my wish list!

I'm still rocking the pearls...though Ford doesn't seem too impressed by them!

 Any given day you're sure to find me in these hoops!  They go with everything and I love 'em!

And in true Mare fashion I still believe that when it comes to earrings...the bigger the better!

 

This bracelet from J.Crew is definitely one of my recent favorites!  But, I must confess...I have a knock-off!  (And it looks dang good if I say so myself!

 

Now, here are some wish list items:

I adore these gold hoops and had originally seen them on Layla Grayce but they're gone!  (She says with MUCH disappointment!)

I absolutely love this gold beauty from J.Crew and I need because it would go GREAT with the bracelet that I already have...don't you agree?  Graham doesn't so much agree with that logic!

 

Anywho, there's some midweek fun for you all!  They say diamonds are a girls best friend but I'm usually happy with any jewel!  And, chances are, if you are reading this post...you are just that!

Things...

Hey everyone!  Summer is in full-swing and seems to be flying by at record breaking speeds!  Even with all of the fun activities that this hot season holds I have somehow managed to do one of my most favorite things....read!  I absolutely LOVE a summer read!  In fact, I have been putting off reading The Help because I had it in my mind as a "beach read"!  Don't fret friends...my feet will be in the sand this weekend which means that The Help is up next! 
I just finished The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd!  I started it a couple of years ago and wanted to reread it!  I have always been a sucker for Southern novels and this one did not disappoint!

I am now reading One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp!  And all I can really say about this book is WOW!  It is truly a life-changer!  It has been on my list for a while so when it was chosen for our book club I was thrilled!  This book is pretty deep and is taking me a bit longer to read but it has proven to be way worth it!  I have only read through chapter 3 so far but from what I can tell it is going to change the way I look at life, joy, and thanksgiving!  Read it!

Thanks is what multiplies the joy and makes any life large, and I hunger for it.
