A Tribute

1998-2011

Hello blog world!  I know it's been a while since I've been here and to honest I just haven't had the heart to post the past few days!  Last week we said goodbye to our lab, Lily.  Needless to say, this little lady has been in a bit of a funk over it!  Lily had been a part of me for almost half of my life.  In our eyes she was everything a dog should be!  She was kind and loyal, playful and spunky, smart and athletic, loving and nurturing, and just a flat-out good girl!  Lily was Super Dog!  She loved the lake, tennis balls, happy meals, babies, doggie daycare, hearing "Good Dog!", walks with John, road trips, and us!  And we really loved her!  For 13 years Lily brought us nothing but joy and for that we are so thankful!   

 Lily was a surprise to me in June of '98!  I named her Lily because she looked like a flower with her bright pink colar and big purple bow!  I literally held her for the first 2 weeks!

It Seems As If...

The terrible two's have invaded my house!  And they are no friend of mine!  Oh my...

Friday's Random Food Facts!

I could eat Mexican food every day!  I don't have to be in the mood for it...I don't have to be craving it...I don't even really have to be hungry, I can eat it whenever!

I love all cakes with cream cheese frosting!  I especially love carrot cake!

I'm a chicken fried girl!  I love me some fried chicken with all of the fixins'!  I pretty much love most all southern cooking for that matter!

I eat McDonald's proudly!  In fact, Wells doesn't like chicken nuggets right now and I am kinda disappointed about it! 

My 93 year old grandmother calls lunch/dinner.  She has never used the word dinner when referring to the last meal of the day!

I pretty much love all candy bars, even Almond Joys!  I also love dark chocolate!

I love pickles!  I don't like olives!

Steak and red wine are a heavenly combination!

I think a good cheeseburger with fresh cut french fries are a deal changer!  Throw in a cold beer and you're really speaking my language!

It's Bo Time!

He's Here!  He's Here! 
Bowman Craig "Bo" made his grand entrance yesterday weighing in at 9 lbs. 7 oz.  And he was 21.5 in. long!  His mommy did an amazing job!  (We hear his Daddy was one pretty awesome coach too!)  We are SO excited and can not wait to watch this little guy grow up!

Could you not just squeeze those cheeks, I mean...really!  What a chunk of pure LOVE!

Brooke, Craig, and Bo we love you guys and we are so proud of you too!
