Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Spring brought a new adventure to the Stepp family and I'll admit, I was shocked at how fast we got here!  Wells played in a 5U T-ball league (for the first time, of course) and we all had a blast!  Not only did Wells love to play, he improved lots over the season, but Graham and I made new friends as well!  Here are some pictures from our little guy's first baseball experience:
Collin, Davis, Cohen, and Wells ready for their first game!
Wells and his biggest fans!
The Wolves
Who is this big kid?

Seriously, I die over this one!

Love!

T-ball proved to be fun for the whole family!

Skinny?

Via
This chocolate and vanilla beauty is a Skinny Cow Ice Cream sandwich...and I, personally, am currently managing to kill one or two a day!  (For those of you that know me well, I know that they are not Paleo...don't judge me!)  They are delicious, and I am in fact addicted to them!  I feel better now that I've gotten that off of my chest!  Thanks!
Happy Friday!  What deliciousness will you treat yourself to this weekend?

Free to EAT!

There are few things I enjoy more than eating...the whole Eat, Drink, and be Merry thing really works for me!  I kinda love it!  So, since it's a holiday I'd say that's a darn good excuse to do exactly that!  Here are some things that I may (key word MAY) do this week:

Brownie Kabobs
via Pinterest, where else!
Aren't these precious!  I foresee them being a favorite amongst kids and adults!

Strawberry Sangria

I would probably add whole blueberries as well to make them even more festive!  Yummy!

BBQ Sliders

The above picture just made me smile because I LOVE pickles on my BBQ sandwiches!  Graham, not so much!  But, regardless of how we eat them the bottom line is, this week, we will eat them!
My BBQ recipe is this:
(variation between my step-dad's recipe and Linds and Jami's)
1 medium sized pork loin
1 other piece of meat (usually whatever is on sale, pork or beef)
1 whole onion, sliced
1 can of coke or beer (whichever I have)
1 bottle of BBQ sauce of your choice (I vary between Stubb's and Sweet Baby Rays)
Layer sliced onion in bottom of crock pot.  Place meat on top.  Cover with can of coke or beer and 1 or so cups of water.  Cook on high heat for about 6 hours.  Once cooked drain meat and remove onion.  Cover with sauce and serve!  I always buy slider buns for me and regular sized buns for Graham.  Simple enough and always delicious!  Seriously, it never disappoints!

So, eat up folks!  It's Independence Day!

Yankee Doodle

With the 4th of July upon us I thought I'd do a throwback to last year's events as a recap!  So, here's what this week looked like for us a year ago:
We kicked off our week's festivities with the fireworks in Sugar Creek!  Can't wait to compare this year's picture to the one above!  Poor Ford is barely hanging on for dear life but he was a trooper!  I remember that he slept through the entire fireworks show in Jami's arms! (The twins went home with their grandparents so she was childfree and oh so gracious to help out with Ford!)
These two have SO many pictures like this!  I have a feeling there will be many more to follow as well!  Emma Gray usually wins out for title of Wells' best girl...other than mommy of course! ;)
I love Ford's "enough people!" expression!  However, our rule is, as long as Graham and I look somewhat normal the picture is a keeper!

Here you have Wells and his big cousins on the actual 4th waiting for multiple fireworks shows!  We went to my father-in-law's church and from the parking lot you can see at least 3 of Greenville's biggest displays!  It was amazing and free and not even a portion of the crowd!  Perfect way to spend the holiday!  (I mean, and who doesn't love a hot summer night on a blanket with an iPhone!)

So, there's our little flashback!  Stay tuned this week for more patriotic posts!  And, feel free celebrate with these old guys as well!  Happy! Happy!
