As we all know February is Love Month! It's the month of Valentine's Day and ironically it's also Dental Health month! I say it's ironic because this
little momma has had one heck of a sweet tooth recently! And what else is a girl to do with a sweet tooth besides cook some sweets! Here are just a couple of things that we've enjoyed over the past couple of weeks:
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup Karo syrup
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup chopped pecans
1 Tbl. Vanilla
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
In a saucepan, melt the butter but don't let it brown. Mix in the sugar and corn syrup and cook, stirring, over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Once the mixture has cooled slightly stir in the eggs. Mix well. Stir in the pecans. Pour into the pie shell and bake for 1 hour or until firm when shaken.
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream to add a few extra calories! ;)
Have you tried these fun little guys? If not, than you should! And they're very easy! Follow the directions on the box, spread a little Butter Cream Frosting on top and you've got yourself a delicious treat!
Don't worry about the calories! If you enjoy them with people you love and laugh a little while eating them you're sure to avoid any weight gain! Happy "Sweet Tooth" Month everyone!
