Here's to the Royal Couple!

I had a few plans for the Royal Wedding Day and none of which have turned out!  Thanks to a stomach bug so generously given to me by sweet little boy I didn't make it up for the 4am footage!  I am looking forward to Wells' naptime so that I may catch up!  I also wanted to post a fun wedding post full of pictures from our own wedding but thanks to that bug again I didn't quite finish that up!  I mentioned this fairy tale life the other day, didn't I?
Anywho, I sure hope William and Kate have a life full of fun, laughter, happy tears that out way the sad ones, and lots of beautiful babies! (Dude, can you imagine what their kids will look like?)
Happy Royal Wedding Day Everyone!

Prince Charming

It's Royal Wedding Week...in case you hadn't heard! :)  I thought it would be oh so fitting to talk the next few days about my fairy tale life!  (Que sarcastic tone:  Because that's just what it is 100% of the time...a Fairy Tale!)
I met my prince charming in high school!  I was a senior and he was a junior (I am a cougar!) and I actually asked him out!  Talk about breaking all of the rules!  We had a seven year off and on courtship before our royal wedding (more to come on that Friday!).  And we have been married now for just under five years!  And let me tell ya, the longer I am married to this man the more I realize that he is a true prince!  And here's how I know:
He's strong!  All prince charmings must be strong...ya know, just in case they have to fight off any dragons!
The Kiss!  I mean, it only took one to change the lives of Sleeping Beauty and Snow White!  Kisses are very important!
He is chivalrous!  I was cold, he took off his coat, and we have the picture to prove it!
He cleans up well, and that's important for a prince and important to a princess!
I think the walk says it all!
Sunsets, sunsets, sunsets!  Don't most fairy tale couples ride off into them?
Just look at him!  He's just the cutest thing!  I am pretty darn lucky that out of all of the people in the world, the Lord had him designed just for me!  And though life is not always a perfect fairy tale (GASP!) when you are married to a man like this it's easy to forget that it's not!

Boo-Boo

Wells took his first major tumble...culprit: cobblestone walkway and wrought iron gate!

Here's to hoping that your Monday has arrived with a very GENTLE landing!

"We are the Easter people and Hallelujah is our song!" - Pope John Paul II
Here are some pictures and memories from previous Easters!  (Mainly last Easter!)
Before Wells was born Graham and I would make Easter baskets for each other!  This particular photo was taken in 2008.  It was always so fun and each year it would bring out the kid in both of us!  This particular year Graham put a Chick Fil A gift card in mine because I used to LOVE to stop and get chicken minis and a large Diet Dr. Pepper on the way to work!  Hey, there is no better way to start your day!
And, well, last year the Easter bunny came to see Wells!  He forgot my candy and gift card! :(
I love how Wells is eyeing his goodies!
Shout for Joy Wells!  Our Redeemer Lives!
Little did we know last Easter that this picture would be such a treasure to us this one!  Here's Wells, his cousin Cashton (only 9 days apart) and our dear Mama Tut!  We sure do miss her!
Wells actually loved the Easter Bunny, while in D.D.'s arms of course!
This Easter we have a really special treat, the Butlers will be here for the weekend!  We have lots of fun activities planned which we are all pumped about!  Graham and I will also have the chance to celebrate with his wonderful family on Sunday!  So, lots of pictures to come next week!
Happy Happy Easter to you all!  Take some time this weekend to celebrate Jesus!
He Lived, He Loved, He Healed, He Served, He Mourned, He Died (an unbelievable death...for us), He Loved (even more),
He ROSE!  He LIVES!

Are you coming to the party?

Party: yes, please!  This Sunday just so happens to be EASTER!  And you better believe that we have cause to celebrate!  I will be partying it up at NewSpring Church...and if you don't have a place to go this weekend then we would love to see you there!  If you do have a place, however, I hope you have an awesome party as we rejoice in the greatest reason of all to celebrate!

Obsession

I am embarrassed to say that with summer approaching I have found a new obsession!  As others are posting about beach houses, summer wardrobes, and kids running through sprinklers I am sitting in my living room dreaming about a banana pudding milkshake from Chick Fil A!  I will not tell you how many I have had nor will I tell you whether or not I will have one today!  But I will tell you that I love them!  Have you had one?  It's heaven , in styrofoam, with a straw, and a cherry!  Get one today...it could change your life! ;)

Jami blogged about her first experience with one here!  I want to know what you think about them too!

Daydreaming

In my mind
I've gone to Carolina.
Can't you see the sunshine?
Can't you just feel the moonshine
Ain't it just like a friend of mine
It hit me from behind
Yes I'm gone to Carolina in my mind!

Yard Dog!

Wells LOVES being outside!  I mean, he loves it!  Like, he cries when we come in!  So, if the sun is out and the weather is nice this is what my day looks like!  Spring has officially sprung on the Confederate!
 "Hey, who's this guy?"

Wells is trying to convince Lucy to come and play...I don't think it's working!
And here's Lucy, my not so much a yard dog!  She is sunbathing in this picture and does not seem the least bit amused to be out in the heat!  So, the title to this post is most definitely referring to my sweet little guy and not my four-legged girl! :)
Hope you are all having fun in the sun as well!

Last Weekend's Recap

I know, the most original title ever, right?  As we head into the weekend I thought I would pay tribute to the last!
I'll start with Friday:
The Butler kiddos were in Greenville for the weekend and it just so happened to be CeCe's birthday (as I mentioned last week).  And, Johnny's birthday was Sunday so we hit two birds with one stone!
 Make a wish!
Wells had a ball playing with his big cousins all weekend!  And, he also loved being able to play in his car inside the house!  These are the things you get to do at D.D. and GrandJohn's house!  :)

On Saturday we had the chance to hangout with the Stepp clan as we celebrated our nephew Andrew's birthday!  The weather was beautiful and my sister-in-law Emily had planned the perfect baseball party!  It was quite the hit! (no pun intended!)  Wells absolutely loved being outside and we all loved the great fellowship!  Shame on me for not having my camera!  Below you will see our nephews Ayden and Andrew...Andrew is on the right and he was the birthday boy!

And then it was Sunday!  I love Sundays!  And I especially loved last Sunday because it was time to celebrate Brooke and shower her with gifts for Baby Bo!  It was so nice to sit, talk, laugh, eat, and just BE with some of the best girls in the world!  Thanks Brooke, for giving us a reason to celebrate!  We love you!
Coming soon....babies due in May, June, and July!  The order from left to right is actually June, May, July!
 Brooke and Bo's Grammie!
 Sweet Mommas!
 Bo's "Coming Home" outfit!
I did not want to leave these girls....
But this was a pretty sweet sight to come home to!
Happy Friday everyone!
Have a great weekend!

Thank you! Thank you!

Well, thank you Jami for your kind nomination!  You, my friend, are one stylish blogger!  :)  And, I must also apologize to Ginna who nominated me back in January!  I am so sorry that I never accepted!  What was I thinking?

So, here's what I am supposed to do:
1. Thank and link back to the person who awarded you this award. (Check!)
2. Share 7 things about yourself. (Check!  See below!)
3. Award 15 recently discovered great bloggers. (Kinda Check!  Not quite 15...and some not recently discovered)
4. Contact these bloggers and tell them about the award.  (No Check!  I am just going to let these little ladies find out on their own!)

My Seven:

1. I love Jesus!  Even if I sound like a Jesus Freak, I don't care!  I'm telling you, He is amazing!  I hope you know Him!  He'll rock your world, just saying!

2. I really don't like mayonnaise!  The thought of eating it on a sandwich makes me gag a little.  I will eat it in chicken salad and a few other things but I am really not a fan of the stuff!

3. I LOVE beach music!  Now I am not talking about the Beach Boys, don't give me any California Girls!  I am talking about The Tams, The Embers, The Catalinas, Percy Sledge, Chairmen of the Board, The Temptations...the good stuff!  If the words "There ain't no other kind of music in the world that gives me quite the thrill" mean nothing to you then you are missing out!

4. My favorite, all-time favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon is ride around different neighborhoods with Graham!  I don't think he so much loves it but he'll do it every once in a while!  I love to imagine and dream about life, our children, etc.  Hey, you have GOT to have a dream!

5. My cowboy boots and jean jacket are some of my most favorite fashion accessories!  Together or separate.  I have had the same jean jacket since high school and I have no plans of getting rid of it anytime soon!  And it's a cool one too!  You'd never know it was that old! ;)

6. Having a clean house can totally change my mood.  I'm just a little OCD like that!  I can't go to sleep in a messy room and I can't put Wells down for bed or a nap if his room is messy!  I am a freak!

7. I have detailed conversations in my head sometimes lots of times about some pretty hot topics.  They usually have to do with religion and education.  I think I could change the world...when talking to myself of course!

Those are just some random things about me!  Let's meet some of these girls...
The award goes to:
5. Lauren in Greenville
8. Lauren in Africa

Yes, please!

Who's with me?

FORE!

It's Masters Week!  Which means one thing...my TV will not leave the Golf Channel until coverage starts on CBS...fun for me, right?  Yea, not so much!  However, I do love admiring the scenery at Augusta National.  The azaleas could not be more beautiful!  And since Graham did an internship in college at a local golf course he knows some of the inside scoop about the upkeep and maintenance of these amazing plants which makes them ever the more interesting to me!  So to get into the swing of things (haha!) I thought I would show you guys a few blooms from my yard!  It's doesn't hold a candle to some that you may see on TV this week but I love them!
I think these guys are one of the greatest things about living in a older home!  Graham and I always look forward to Spring to see all of the different colors.  The first year that we lived in our house it was so fun to watch them bloom because we had no idea what they would look like!
For how great is his goodness, and how great his beauty!
Zechariah 9:17

Love love love this coral color!
This one is by far my favorite!  It doesn't fully bloom until late Spring so here's just a sneak peek of the beautiful color!
I hope you have a really beautiful Tuesday!
